I anchor mornings on ABC-7 WZVN-TV.
Before moving to SWFL, I reported on and, later, anchored KOMU 8 News Today every morning 4:30 – 7 a.m in Columbia, Missouri. It was early, but the team and viewers made the 2:30 a.m. wake up calls worth it!
I was born and raised in Blue Springs, Missouri. Mid-way through middle school, I roped my parents into letting me home school. Once I got to college, it was clear I should’ve spent more time learning trig than watching TV news.
Don’t worry though… the story turns out just fine. I graduated from St. Louis University with a bachelor’s in psychology and sociology and the University of Missouri School of Journalism with a master’s in Broadcast Journalism.
Scratching a lifelong political itch, I worked on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. for two members of Congress. After a few weeks as an intern, I landed a staff assistant job and could not have been happier to walk through the doors of the Cannon House Office Building every day. The experiences were incredible, compensating for the notoriously low pay.
In my spare time, you can usually find me watching poor quality reality TV, playing tennis, hanging out at the pool or reading.
