A Midwest native, Jeremy Nelson has called Wisconsin his home 12 of the past 16 years.

Jeremy is responsible for covering the weather and blogging on WISN.com throughout the week. Some of his most memorable weather moments include covering the July 2010 flash floods in Milwaukee, the Eagle tornado in June 2010 and the Groundhog Day blizzard of 2011.

Jeremy comes to Milwaukee from Kansas City, where he worked as the weekend meteorologist at the NBC affiliate KSHB-TV. Prior to that, he was the chief meteorologist at WMSN-TV in Madison, and a meteorologist for Weather Central Inc. He began his career at WLUC-TV in Marquette, Mich., where he also served as a meteorologist for the morning news. Jeremy received his B.S. degree in atmospheric and oceanic sciences from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

He is a member of the National Weather Association and the American Meteorological Society, earning both the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist distinction and the AMS Broadcast Seal. From 2004-06, Jeremy was voted ?best local TV personality? by readers of Madison Magazine.

Jeremy, his wife and two girls are all excited to be back in Wisconsin. He loves to share his passion for and knowledge about the weather with local schools and organizations.
